Janet Lavelle has over 25 years of experience in the costs industry. In 2014, she formed Synergy Costs Ltd to provide a flexible, responsive and professional costs service to the legal industry.

Her high standards, attention to detail and commitment to developing long term business relationships with clients are at the core of the business philosophy. Her technical expertise, combined with a professional yet friendly approach, ensures that clients receive the best support and advice on each case to maximise the recovery of their costs on every claim.

Janet is a qualified Costs  Lawyer and has many years of  experience of drafting bills and negotiating settlement of clients’ costs. Janet is also a contributing author to Butterworths Personal Injury Litigation Services. Janet’s particular interests are clinical negligence claims, serious and catastrophic injuries, industrial disease and employers liability claims, accidents at work, road traffic accidents and slip and trip personal injury claims. Janet has considerable experience with high value complex civil litigation and is also regularly instructed to attend Costs Management Conferences and Detailed Assessment Hearings. Janet is a Council member of Cardiff and District Law Society.
